Text messaging

How IntakeGo and the contractors it works for get permission to text you, what you will receive, and how to stop.

Who is texting you

IntakeGo LLC, of St. Louis, Missouri, runs a text message intake and scheduling service for home services contractors. A text comes either from a contractor who uses IntakeGo, sent under that contractor's own name from their own registered business number, or from IntakeGo's own demonstration line, which texts as IntakeGo and walks prospective clients through a sample roofing job so they can try the service before they sign up.

How you opt in

We only text people who asked first. That happens in one of three ways.

  1. You text first. You send a message to the business's number, for example a question about a job. The reply identifies the business, answers you, and tells you how to stop.
  2. You submit a web form. The form asks for your mobile number and will not submit until you tick an unchecked box next to this text: "I agree to receive text messages from [business name] about my request, including replies to my questions, appointment times, confirmations and reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help." followed by links to that business's terms and privacy policy. The demo form at the bottom of this page is a live example.
  3. You ask in person or on a call. A staff member records your name, your mobile number, the date and their own name before anything is sent.

What you will receive

Replies to your question, requests for the details of the job, appointment times, a confirmation and a reminder for a booked appointment, and at most a couple of follow-ups if you leave a question unanswered. Message frequency varies by conversation. Message and data rates may apply. You will never receive marketing for anyone else.

How to stop, and how to get help

Reply STOP at any time and messages end immediately. UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT do the same. Reply HELP for help, email [email protected], or call (314) 594-7172.

Your number stays private

Mobile phone numbers and text messaging consent records are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. The privacy policy and terms cover the rest.

Try the demo

You play the homeowner. The assistant answers for a roofing company, the way it would for one of our clients. Tick the box and it texts you within a minute.
